Teddy Sjafrizal is a faculty member of the Industrial Engineering Department, Telkom University in Indonesia, with nearly 10-year engineering experience.

Mr. Sjafrizal completed his first degree in 2000 from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), majoring in material engineering. He started to work as a metrology equipment engineer at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing in Singapore. He decided to accept another challenge as a product designer at Panasonic Industrial Devices Singapore, where he developed and gained practical knowledge and skills in material, process, and product developments of inductive products. He later pursued further study in management of technology and received a Master of Science degree from the National University of Singapore in 2007. Mr. Sjafrizal is currently in the final year of his Ph.D. candidature at the University of Queensland (Australia).

Mr. Sjafrizal’s research interests are in the manufacturing process (powder metallurgy) and product development. He also considers himself an intellectual property enthusiast. This interest provides him with reliable information and tools to support his future career and dedication in developing engineering solutions and aiming towards commercialisation.
